Introducing the first book, "Our Hymn to the Mother of God" as part of a full-color hard bound Orthodox children's series now available for purchase by the Sisters of All Saints Greek Orthodox Monastery in Calverton, Long Island, New York. It has been a joy to work with them to publish this special project, as their idea of using the hymnology of the Church to retell the story to children just couldn't be more appropriate!
The spiritual poetry on each page is matched with wonderful original illustrations by Sister Theonymphi in the style of Byzantine iconography, which means you won't find anything theologically wrong like a cartoon image of Christ! The heavenly scenes will inspire all children to contemplate our Almighty God.
Here are a few sneak peaks, and the information for ordering: The sisters hope to soon make their copies available through Amazon online, as well as parish bookstores, etc.

The other books with their illustrations are being completed as we speak. Most likely not ready for purchase until next year, consider them as Pascha gifts?
This project is one well worthy of our support - What encouragement it will be for the newly formed sisterhood in NY!

Thanks for these resources! I am launching a Lenten campaign to help raise awareness and funds for the Theotokos Orthodox Girls Orphanage in India thru our platform, Lucky Girls. I'm looking for Orthodox resources on teaching children about poverty. Would you have any recommendations or people you think may want to help us? We are going to launch a friendship bracelet project where youth make and sell friendship bracelets to benefit the orphanage, but I want an Orthodx educational component to it.
On another note, I have been in contact with Mother Foteini at the monastery in Calverton as they are also trying to help the orphanage in India. I'm happy to see your blog post about their book.
